Soapbox Update 3/22/18

Don’t worry, we’ll be brief:

Brace yourselves – Columbia River seasons are currently being discussed through the North of Falcon process. Prepare for draconian measures for fall seasons this year, as upriver brights and tule Chinook are in a notable downturn.

A fond farewell – Legendary outdoor writer and historian Tom McAllister passed away early last week. McAllister inspired many enthusiasts and sparked the passion for hunters, anglers and conservationists throughout the Pacific Northwest. I had the honor of him on my boat for two fishing trips. RIP Mr. McAllister.

Few could write a more eloquent memorial than outdoor writer Bill Monroe. See his fitting tribute here.
