Willamette River Spring Chinook Tactics and Locations for the Boat Angler are described and mapped out within this report. It will cover three distinct areas on the Willamette River below Willamette Falls. The lowest section in this area covers the Multnomah Channel from St. Helens to the St. Johns area (22 miles) and the lower Willamette from the mouth at Kelly Point Park to the St. Johns Bridge (4 miles). The middle section covers the river from the St. Johns Bridge upstream 16 miles to the Milwaukie Boat Ramp and the Southern Pacific Railroad crossing. The upper river in this section covers the remaining six miles of river upstream, to Willamette Falls. You will learn where to fish in these areas and what methods have consistently produced the most significant catches.
